Macaroni-Cheese Salad

This is a great salad! I make it often in the summer, but it's perfect any time of the year.

1-1/2 cups uncooked macaroni
10 ounces frozen peas
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar
3/4 cup mayonnaise
8 green onions, sliced
1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
1 stalk (1/2 cup) celery, diced
1/2 head (3 cups) lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or Hormel real bacon bits)

Cook macaroni as directed; rinse in cold water and drain. Rinse peas with cold water to separate; drain. In a large bowl, combine the macaroni with the next 6 ingredients. Mix well, cover and refrigerate several hours. Just before serving, mix in the lettuce and bacon. 6 servings, 1-1/2 cups each
