Chocolate Peppermint Frappé

I clipped this out of some magazine years ago and finally got around to trying it. I snuck into the kitchen without the kids, which is hard to do in this house, and whipped these up as a surprise! This is delicious, ridiculously simple, and I can guarantee you'll have squeals of delight, and earn the title of "World's Greatest Mama"!

3 small round peppermint candies
or mini candy canes
4 ice cubes, crushed
1-1/2 cups frozen yogurt or ice cream,
vanilla, chocolate, or coffee
2 cups cold milk
1/3 cup chocolate syrup
peppermint sticks for garnish

Place the candies in a blender. Whirl until candies are pulverized fine. Add the crushed ice, frozen yogurt or ice cream, milk and chocolate syrup to the candies in the blender. Blend until mixture is thick and smooth. Pour into 4 chilled tall glasses and serve. Garnish with a dollop of whipped topping and peppermint chips if you wish.
