Homemade Ranch Dressing

I've tried different recipes for ranch dressing and have never quite come up with one we love.  (I know, it's not rocket science!). Then I found this one from Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman), and I declare we will never buy ranch dressing again!  It is so good!  My husband and kids love it!  It's a breeze to whip up and you can't beat the fresh flavor of ranch dressing made from scratch!  I left out the cayenne and paprika she adds in, and go a little heavier on the dill.  I was also out of fresh garlic the original recipe calls for-the garlic powder works just as well.

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup real mayonnaise
1/2 cup light sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
( or a good sprinkling of the dried)
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk well.  Pour into a dressing container and place in refrigerator to chill for a few hours.  If you want this thicker for a dip, just decrease the buttermilk by 1/4 cup.
