My mom-in-law brought this delicious salad one Sunday and now the kids won't let her come over without it! It's sooooo good! I usually make up the dressing and serve it on the side, allowing the salad to stay crisp longer.
Dressing:
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Salad:
1 large head of Iceberg lettuce
6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
4 green onions, sliced
3/4 cup chow mein noodles
In a salad dressing shaker, combine dressing ingredients; shake well and refrigerate. In a large bowl, combine salad ingredients; toss. Just before serving, lightly pour dressing on salad, or just serve on the side.
