Kim's Vegetable Salad

I think this must be the quintessential church potluck salad! It's always been one of my favorites.


1 head cauliflower, broken into florets
1 head broccoli
1 cup diced celery
1 cup peas
1/2 pound bacon
2 teaspoons chopped green onion tops
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, sliced

Dressing:
2 cups mayo
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon finely chopped white onion

In a large bowl, combine all the salad ingredients together. Mix dressing; combine with salad and chill.
